James Jean was born on 1979 in Taipei, Taiwan. He is a Taiwanese-American winning  artist and illustrator living in Los Angeles. I first saw James Jean’s artworks on cover of Fables comic series. For me his artworks has a distinct theme, objects, lines, technique and colors. When I see his artworks I feel like being dragged to a world full of visual sensations. He could create a unique atmosphere with his paintings. For me James Jean’s world is a fascinating world of imaginations. This week’s inspirations are a little bit different. If you have been following our weekly inspirations, you must have notice that this week, Nika’s inspirations are a little bit “dark” . Usually every Petz has their own style in picking inspirations. Dies likes gloomy inspirations, Poy likes bloody or macabre inspirations, Hanif likes eclectic artworks and usually different from week to week, Sissy and Eka like fashion illustrations and sometimes other artworks beside illustration itself, while Oppie, Nika and Kuswanto love manga/cartoon/funny illustrations. It’s a good sign though, to have different taste once in a while. By the way, this 21th Weekly Inspirations is my last inspirations for Petshopbox Studio blog. I’ll resign from Petshopbox Studio on early June. I’ll be missing all of the Petz and this beloved blog. Here are our inspirations for this week. be inspired as always!

Luis Royo is one of Spain’s most internationally renowned illustrators. His illustrations subjects are mostly girls…very very sexy girls. Beside his own books and exhibition, he also produced art for various media: magazine (Penthouse and Heavy Metal), videogames, CD album covers, Tarot cards, Comic book and Action figure.
