People in music industry always said “just put the singer’s face on the album cover, and they will sell it like candy”. But, some musician prefer illustrations for their album cover. Though they aren’t much, some are really good. In the making of this list, we browsed many website, go to music stores and looking in our (old) CD collection. After the hard work, here are the top 20 selection of music album illustration from around the world.

I routinely find album art to be of very high quality, all the more impressive when you think that the majority of the work must’ve gone into the music. These are some great examples.
Just goes to show that there is something to be said for creating a total package even in this day in age when album art is much less in the public eye because of digital formats.
I think often times the art that is created for albums is just as much for the artists as it is for the fans. Allowing them to put a visual representation to there musical work.
